I made snow ice cream with the kids tonight. It was really fun. Mix together a large bowl of fresh snow, one cup of sugar, one Tbsp vanilla and enough milk or heavy cream to make it the consistency of ice cream. Surprisingly yummy!

We made real SNOW cones not too long ago. I had some snow cone syrup that I got on sale from summer (awful stuff, but the kids love it) and they had so much fun!!! We'll have to try the ice cream.

Oh...this is one of my favorite childhood memories! My dad would would make us a bowl. I used to do it for my kids. And they did it for their kids. We now live in the country, and I think of it every once in awhile when I see a beautiful new snow. (caution: yellow snow does not mean lemon flavor) (brothers can be like that, you know.)

My kids use to (well the 18 yo still does) make a snow slurpie where they they would get a glass full of fresh snow and then pour pop/soda over it. He was making these a couple weeks ago and pour Mt. Dew over the snow.
