Would appreciate it.

Santa's Boots
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. each ground cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and allspice 1 cup honey 1 cup sugar 2 Tbsp. Orange juice 2 Tbsp. each chopped citron, candied orange peel and candied lemon peel 2 cups blanched sliced almonds Decorating icing and nonpareils, cookie cutters. 1. In a bowl whisk flour, salt and spices until blended. 2. In a 3 qt. pan over medium-low heat, heat honey sugar and juice; stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat. 3. Pulse citron, peels and almonds in food processor until finely chopped; stir in honey and flour mixtures until blended. Cover and refrigerate overnight. 4. Heat oven to 325F. Line baking sheet(s) with foil (I would use parchment). Divide dough into 4 disks; wrap and chill until ready to roll. 5. On floured surface, roll out one disk at a time until 1/8 inch thick. Cut with a floured cookie cutter. Place one inch apart on prepared baking sheets. 6. Bake 12 to 14 minutes until golden and set. Cool on baking sheet on wire rack 1 minute; remove cookies to rack to cool completely. Decorate with icing and nonpareils.
I think I would probably eliminate the citron and peels as I don't care for them but the rest of the recipe sounds yummy!! Happy baking. Amy Grace
