Every year I make the same dessert for christmas. This year I am looking for a new dessert to try. I was wondering what you girls were making for dessert? Maybe it would give me an ideal of what to try if I knew what other familys had for dessert on christmas day.

We're goin with a cookie assortment. Just the basics, molasses, chocolate chip, butter, shortbread, gingerbread. I have been known to make lollipop cookies. You cut out large round cookies then cut out the middles to make a circle shape. You lay the flat round style sucker in the middle and press the stick into the cookie dough. The sucker melts into the hole and makes a pretty cookie on a stick.

My grandma loves fruit cocktail blended with vanilla pudding. You mix the pudding powder with the juice from the fruit and then stir in the fruit and chill. It's pretty good and most everyone likes it.

Oh! I almost forgot our family favorite! Fruit Pizza! You make a sugar cookie mix/recipe up then spread it out on a pizza pan and bake as one big cookie. Blend cream cheese and powdered sugar till sweet enough for your own taste and spread on the cookie. Then you top with fresh and well drained fruit. We make sure there is lots of pineapple, orange sections, grapes, strawberries, and cherries. It's one dish we make sure that 3 or 4 people bring cause 1 isn't enough to get through the hellos with!
