Hello Cranberry lovers!

I'm sharing a little Cranberry history and family folklore along with a wonderful recipe using cranberries and pineapple today on my blog... It's a family favorite, only this year when I bake it I will use as many organic ingredients as I can.

Here's the link!

Bless you for this recipe - I have half a bag of cranberries left from Thanksgiving and I am baking this tomorrow. Hopefully my chicken will pick up the egg laying so I will have six eggs tomorrow.

Great Deb! The pastry cloths really are great. Mine are very, very heavy and last forever. The first one I ever made is now 20 years old and still in use. I demonstrated on one the other night and they couldn't believe how fresh it looked after all of the demonstrations I've done with it. The nice thing about these is that being heavy, you store it in the freezer between washing every so often, and so it is ice cold for pie crust and pastry dough. If you really like to bake, the larger sizes are really handy. So glad you liked my website. Not sure if you saw the blog there as well, but there are recipes and funny things about us Okies. Yep, some day Trader Joe's will figure out how to get over our Okie mountains and we'll have chocolate covered cranberries too!!! Okie mountain = a big hill :-)

Mary Beth,
I had no idea such a thing as Pastry Cloth existed!
What a wonderful idea... I must have one!
We are getting a new island counter top, most likely marble which is a great surface for baking but I love the idea of a pastry cloth for less mess and easy clean up!

How cool! So glad you included your link!

Thank you Mary Beth!
Glad you enjoyed the article... That's too funny about Trader Joe's not wanting to cross mountains in Texas. We had one in Reno, NV which is in the Great Basin just below the Sierra MOUNTAINS...Hmmm I wonder how their trucks got there?

I'm headed over to your blog to learn more about Pastry Cloths!
Have a great day!

Debbie, I love your blog. That was soooooo interesting about cranberry production and about your grandmother. The recipe looks awesome. Gonna have to try it!

And I love Trader Joe's. When we go back to Tennessee or Georgia to visit relatives, we always stop in Nashville or near Alpharetta, GA to hit Trader Joe's. Funniest thing...I asked at both places why they haven't put one in Oklahoma. We would love it. The answer from both places was the same and an absolute hoot. Why? "Because of all those mountains there. Like in Texas. The trucks can't get over them." ???????? Anybody been to Oklahoma or Texas? Mountains? Sure. Don't know what geography class THEY took!
