Posted - Nov 09 2010 : 07:00:24 AM That's how I have been freezing them, but I am out of freezer bags. I have only a few containers and used canning jars. I guess I will just use them and see how it works.

Posted - Nov 09 2010 : 06:26:25 AM I have always snipped mine up onto cookie sheets and stuck them in the freezer for an hour or so until they freeze and then I have put them in ziploc bags (quickly so they don't thaw) and they stay loose instead of all clumped up. I haven't had any problem with an onion smell in the freezer bags. Of course, with that first freeze it gets a little oniony. :-)
