...and could make my own toilet paper, I would never have to go to the grocery store again.
Have canned and frozen so much food this summer that my pantry and freezer are stocked.
Made 4 quarts of French onion soup for the freezer yesterday.
Today applesauce and Several quarts of butternut squash soup for the freezer.
Hoping to put up some vegertable beef soup in the pressure canner next week
I love the feeling of having all this nutritious food and knowing exactly what's in everything.

Planning to make some applesauce today.
Can't decide if I should can or freeze it, since both the pantry and freezer are filled to overflowing.
What a blessing to have such a dilemma

I know exactly how you feel, Michele! Having a cow is my biggest dream at the moment so I can make homemade dairy products, as well as just having the milk and cream. We stocked up on natural fed beef and pork this summer... haven't figured out the poultry situation unless we raise our own for meat. But it's so fulfilling to have a fully stocked freezer and lots of canned goods on the pantry shelves! I don't think I can fit any more food in the freezer, but I'll sure try! Also running out of space for cans... but it's such a good dilemma! My fridge is also stock full of garden veggies that I must figure out what to do with... Keeps a country girl always busy! I hope apples go on good sales soon so I can also make applesauce and butter....
