Posted - Aug 30 2010 : 2:20:06 PM Alee, Your jars should be just fine....I hardly ever do the "remove extra air bubbles" thing unless I see a bunch of them in something more gely like marmalade. :)

Posted - Aug 30 2010 : 1:11:53 PM Hi Alee, I spoke with my instructor and she said that if your jars sealed and you processed them the right way for the right amount of time that she would not reprocess. Hope that helps ease your mind.

Posted - Aug 30 2010 : 10:56:20 AM So now I am worried.... I canned yesterday but I forgot to run a spatula around the inside of the jars to remove air bubbles and I processed them. The lids have a great seal on them and I don't want to ruin the lids if I don't have to. Do you think I should open them and reprocess?

Posted - Aug 30 2010 : 06:09:55 AM I'm taking a Master Food Preserver class right now and this link was actually given to us as a resource. The recipes you find here are research based and safe. Make sure you are using research based recipes and to not change quantities around since that will help the food you preserve and serve be safer.
