I'm looking for a recipe for pineapple preserves/conserve made from canned pineapple. I'd love for it to include brown sugar so it would taste like the pineapple part of pineapple upside down cake. Can I substitute brown sugar in a regular pineapple preserves recipe?

Mmm, that does sound good with the brown sugar. If you find a recipe, please share.

A few months ago I made pineapple jam using canned pineapple. We've never had it and it sounded good. I used the Ball No/Low Sugar pectin and used 4 cups canned pineapple and 1 cup pineapple juice. That's what the basic recipe calls for. It's so good. I especially like it over homemade yogurt.

I want this, too. I'm gonna search all my canning books and will get back to you
