I have a real bumper crop of raspberries this year and boy are they ever red and juicy but, they have little tiny bugs all over the place that jump away if you try to take them off. I would need tweezers to be able to remove them they are so small. Does anyone know how to deal with them. I don't like the idea of eating them but I don't want the raspberries to turn to mush if I wash them. Could we actually get sick from eating the bugs. There's probably 40 of them in an ice cream bucket.

I'd put a big bowl of cool water out and gently put the berries in the bowl. Typically they get smushed when I try to "wash" them too much or put them in the bowl first and then try to add water. But letting them sit in the bowl for a couple of minutes to drown the bugs should work fine.

Do what you love, love what you do.
