Posted - Jul 16 2010 : 2:43:59 PM I like to add some waxy potatos and butter. Sometimes I add greens. But when the turnips are young, I like them all by themselves!
Nutmeg and thyme both sound good. What about basil? Has anyone tried any other herbs?

I think that a touch of Nutmeg would go great with the turnips too.

Posted - Jul 16 2010 : 1:17:28 PM thyme, dill, onions, shallots, green onions, cabbage, and kale would all go well with turnips. So would bacon, sour cream, butter, and ham. Probably any form of pork or dairy would be fine! I bet there are other ideas out there as well. ~ Mary LD
