I just read an article in Backwoods Home magazine on Tattler reusable canning lids. They are a little expensive but I'm wondering if they really work. If they do what they say it may be worth me investing in them. I always feel bad about throwing the lids away each year and with as much as I can it gets darn right expensive! So my question to you gals is.....Has anyone used the Tattler lids? Pros? Cons?

Darn, I missed the drawing. Looks like there might be another one later on this summer so I'll keep an eye out. Thank you!

I'm going to take the plung and order some. I'll be sure to let everyone know how it goes. I agree Jackie Clay does know what she's doing. She doesn't just write about things she actually uses them.

I think I will order some too. The pack of 3 dozen for $20 doesnt seem like too bad of a deal.
Jenny, is that what Jackie uses?? I trust her implicitly. She is the pro at ANYTHING homesteading.

I am thinking about getting some to try. I really trust Jackie Clay..the gal who wrote the article in BWH and she said they were good and she was going to use them more. I would love to hear more feedback on them too.

Initially they are more than regular canning lids. But if the claims are true and you can reuse them... they would be a really good investment. Just the replacement rings are about what I pay for new disposable lids. It would take me a while to switch over.... I hope someone who has used them can chime in and let us know if they are worth it.

Do what you love, love what you do.
