Posted - Feb 18 2010 : 10:23:15 PM Mary I have a yogurt question. After it has sat nice and warm for 8 hours, there is some liquid on top, should that be poured off? Thanks, Debbie |

Posted - Feb 17 2010 : 11:11:50 AM I made coffee cake with homemade buttermilk, and I also made oven fried potatoes. That got me to lunch! Need to start over! I also made yogurt, the Mary Jane way. ~ Mary LD

Posted - Feb 17 2010 : 04:04:15 AM Today, I'm making a huge pot of Chicken and Sausage Gumbo.
It'll be about 4 gallons....enough to feed about 20 people today and then some to freeze. On Wednesdays I try to cook extra big and bring food to all the leaders at the church around 5:00 pm. They're usually so busy getting ready for service that they don't eat or the leaders that drive in from all day jobs are hungry.
Both my girls are still learning to perfect making a roux, so this will be fun today working in the kitchen together.
