I posted a picture tutorial on my blog Beyond A Garden on how to make cupcakes in orange peels.

If anyone makes them I would love to see photos with other toppings and/or different ways they were displayed or presented.

I thought i could make my chocolate orange cream pie mixture and
put it in here instead of a pie crust for the family.

Thanks for the ideas. Can't wait to try the "cowboy sodas." I think it would be fun to do with my pre-k class.

O my goodness! We made these in Girl Scouts ions ago!
Be sure you don't fill them more than half full and put the top on with a couple of toothpicks!

If it's not illegal, unsafe, or immoral, why not try anything once? Who knows? You may come back for a second helping!

Oh we used to do this when I was a kid (in Girl Scouts). We did ours in the coals along with our tin foil dinners.... Too much fun! Yours are so much more "gourmet" looking than ours were! LOL

We also made "cowboy sodas" with oranges too. You roll the orange around to get the juice all squishy, then poke a hole in the rind. Stick in an old fashioned peppermint stick (those King Leo soft peppermint sticks you get around Christmas work great!) and start sucking. Soon the juice is making its way up the inside of the peppermint like a straw!!!

BTW....loving those paperclip earrings. I've used a binder clip and a pencil to hold my hair...now I think I need a pair of those as well! Great idea!

Two ideas I'm definitely going to try - cupcakes in orange peels and paper clip earrings! Loved your blog and I've marked it as a "Favorite"!

Yumm! What a great way to reuse those oranges. I bet they were so good. I love your blog, by the way. And those paperclip earrings are so cute.
