I made the Irish Soda Bread from the current issue of the magazine! It was so easy, and came out deliciously golden brown. Needless to say, it was gone by the next evening. If you haven't made it yet, try it! No kneading, no rising, it's fantastic!

I made it last week, too. I can't wait to make some variations as well.

I have made this bread several times and my family loves it. I tried different flours and now use a combo of white, white wheat, and whole wheat flour. I usually put some herbs in my bread. I made a loaf with some rye flour and dill that was really good. I want to make some with cinnamon and raisins soon. Its is so easy.

Have fun with it.

I had to use that recipe awhile ago because I wasn't able to knead, but needed to make bread for the week (DH and I had been working with concrete and my hands dried out so bad, they were peeling... so i decided I wasn't going to knead my bread with peeling hands). So it was perfect to try the Irish soda bread! So easy! DH wasn't to thrilled about using it for sandwhiches, but it is a wonderful bread to have with soups or on it's own, and toasted!
