Posted - Jan 17 2010 : 7:39:08 PM Barbara, we froze orange juice in a jello mold ring and had that float in the punch bowl. It really added a delicious flavor to the ginger ale and sherbet.

Posted - Jan 16 2010 : 4:01:05 PM Everyone thanks so much for your help. The shower was nice. I used the ginger ale, lemonade, ans sherbet. I wanted to float raspberries - price to high. I think that I will make the slush punch this summer. Thanks again, Barbara

Posted - Jan 15 2010 : 06:06:50 AM Oh My.. This is made in advance and it is called SLUSH PUNCH.
Love it.
Slush Punch ; 3 1/2 c.sugar;6 c.water;2-3 oz/ jello ( 1 orange 1apricot)(cerry and orange is good.) anything mixed with orange and for color). 1 - 46 oz/ pineapple juice. 1 qt. orange juice, 2/3 c real lemon juice (bottle), 2 bottles ginderale or sprite.
Combine sugar & water in large pan, bring to boil. Simmer 3 minutes, stir in jello, pineapple, orange and lemon juice. Put into wide plastic bowls with lids( like cool whip tubs) and freeze. Then put into punch bowl and work the ale or sprite over. Keep adding with the ice punch and makes it slushy!!!. Keep containers in freezer for a fast punch when needed This one is always a hit/
Enjoy! WENDE

Posted - Jan 14 2010 : 7:22:02 PM I usually use a 2-liter of the Schweppes Raspberry Ginger Ale with Pink Lemonade (1 gallon) and everyone thinks it's amazing! It's been ages since I've made it, so I don't know if you can still get the raspberry ginger ale. I usually would put raspberries in the punch bowl too and sometimes if I was feeling really prepared, raspberry sherbet.

Posted - Jan 14 2010 : 2:54:49 PM Diana, are you telling me about one or two different punches? Love the idea that it would not be real sweet. What would the mix be 2-1? Sarah, to float the frozen berries sounds like a nice touch! I am all about easy that looks special. How much grapefruit juice vs soda? thanks, Barbara

Posted - Jan 14 2010 : 2:51:52 PM I put a gallon of sherbet in the punch bowl and slowly pour down the side of the bowl ginger ale or lemon/lime soda. It is super simple and delicious.

Posted - Jan 14 2010 : 11:23:35 AM We use the pink grapefruit juice and lemon lime soda one a lot in our family. Slightly tart and light pink in color. Perfect for a baby shower. :) Sometimes my cousin makes a little raspberry sherbet ring to float in it, looks so pretty! (just fill a jello mold with slightly softened raspberry or any flavor, lemon might be pretty for a baby shower, sherbet, pack it in well, then freeze it hard. Run hot water around the outside when ready to unmold and plunk it in) You could also float frozen berries in it.
