Posted - Jan 04 2010 : 09:34:52 AM Yeah...I didn't think I could do it either but it turned out great! Had two little mini pie tins that I propped the bird up on in the big crock pot. Rinsed and dried it. Used an herb butter inside and under the skin and then let it go! Yum. Plus there was a nice amount left after dinner to try Pioneer Woman's Chicken Spaghetti! http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2007/06/chicken_spaghet/ No pimento or cayene in mine...and I used cheddar broccoli soup instead of mushroom (cause that's what I had) and voila! Dinner #2. |

Posted - Jan 11 2010 : 4:00:20 PM Well, I'm about to launch into using mine just about every day! See my post about "appliance woes"...both fridge and oven down for the count....and I don't own a microwave either! |

Posted - Jan 11 2010 : 3:53:21 PM I think the only small kitchen appliance I use more than my crock pot is my coffee pot! I think I actually use my crock pot more than my microwave. LOL

Posted - Jan 10 2010 : 4:51:10 PM I just did baked potatoes in the crockpot, and they turned out just fine! 4 taters, washed, put in & 8 hours later...tada! why all the mystery w/crockpot cooking anyway? recipes don't have to be complicated....just wholesome!

Posted - Jan 04 2010 : 10:16:31 AM I love chicken in the crock pot. Another favorite is a roast, which is what I am making today. I don't use it all that much, but when I do the food disappears around here.
