Posted - Dec 22 2009 : 06:39:57 AM My DD made a batch of chocolate chip cookies that turned out to be like rock. They taste fine though, if you don't worry about your teeth. Can't use them for doggy treats, chocot Any ideas of what I could do with them if I smash them up in the blender? Maybe make a cookie crumb crust for a cream pie? Anything else you can think of?

Posted - Dec 29 2009 : 12:28:35 PM Biscotti - I think may be the word you're looking for Linda. They are baked twice just to make them extra "crisp" aka hard for dunking. Also, what about mixing crushed cookies into any of the cream cheese or marshmallow fluff based fruit dip recipes? It would change it up a little, add texture and color. I haven't tried it yet but I bet it would go over well with the kids.

Posted - Dec 22 2009 : 4:41:42 PM All you have to do is put them in a sealed jar or ziplock freezer bag with a couple slices of bread or with a couple slices of apple. I promise you they will be soft and delicious within a couple hours.
THis process softens too hard brown sugar too.

Posted - Dec 22 2009 : 10:12:06 AM I know ice cream seems out of the question during this time of year, but breaking them up and either sprinkling them on top or mixing them in with vanilla ice cream. mmmmmmmm
