Posted - Mar 01 2010 : 6:40:33 PM Neat! I LOVE pecan pie, but am wary of corn syrup. I actually bought some specifically to make pecan pie (haven't done it yet though), but now I'll have to try it this way! Thanks! |

Posted - Dec 25 2009 : 6:54:40 PM Ya'll, the pie is GOOD! Next time though, I will chop the pecans up. I used big ones, halved. But the pie is really good. Everyone liked it. It will be made again.

Posted - Dec 22 2009 : 8:54:15 PM I use the traditional recipe making these changes: - Use honey instead of corn syrup - Chop 1/2 the pecans adding to ingredients & place the remaining amount on top gently pressing into pie filling before baking. So yummy!

Posted - Dec 20 2009 : 2:28:36 PM Thanks Kimberly for the recipe. My sister made a pecan pie for Thanksgiving with corn syrup Yukkkk! I didn't want to upset her. She is very sensitive! It was very hard and appeared over cooked. Can't wait to try this recipe. It certainly looks yummy in the picture. I'll have to bake it, eat it and send my review!

Posted - Dec 20 2009 : 10:38:05 AM Thanks for this recipe. I am going to make it probably tomorrow. I've been wanting to make a pie without corn syrup. I'd thought about using maple syrup, too. But this looks good.
