Posted - Dec 08 2009 : 10:43:18 AM I just made my first batch of biscuits with MJF Budget Mix. I always make buttermilk biscuits, but when I got started, I realized I didn't have any buttermilk. SO..... I substituted 3/4c. plain, organic yogurt and about 2 TBSP. skim milk instead. THEY WERE DELICIOUS!!! Remember not to panic if you find you are out of something when cooking and baking. Use your common sense to substitute and you may be surprised at the outcome. Melody (a.k.a.coffeemom, farmgirl #833) |

Posted - Dec 08 2009 : 9:23:42 PM I absolutely adore the Budget Mix! It's so good and has never let me down yet!! Yummy! And I love how the whole wheat Budget mix bakes and tastes just like the White Budget mix. It's nice to have that consistency! |
