I was having a so-so day, doing laundry...catching up, putting this and that away after the weekend. Wanted to knit, it's all I think about most times when there's housework to be done -:) There's been two banana's sittin' on the counter waitin' for me to get them used before they ferment, so I finally pulled out my grandma's banana bread recipe (especially meaningful to me because it's hers and written in her handwriting) and got that banana bread prep'd & to the oven.
It was the perfect time to sit in the sun on the back porch, so out I went, saw my old 1950's Schwinn bike & decided to ride it to my S-I-L's to return a couple of borrowed movies, then came home, checked the mail & guess what was waitin' for me??? Well, a copy of MaryJane's Farm, the Christmas issue of course; to peruse while enjoying the aroma of banana bread baking in the oven! Life IS GOOD!

I LOVE the heel ends! mmmmmmm!!! It was just a wonderful moment in time & I'm so glad to be able to share it with women that understand! Thanks!

Hey Chandra,
I love those kind of days!!!
I love the smell of ANY KIND of bread baking!!! To me that is heavenly!!
AND, if it is a yeast whole grain bread . . . I let it cool only a wee bit and then have the heel ends with a little butter. One of my favorite things! My family know that the heel ends are MINE!!!!!
