Posted - Oct 31 2009 : 09:20:17 AM Can you freeze the packages of lettuce mix? One of our local grocery stores has it on sale for 99 cents a package and I was gonna stock up. But I don't know if it will be wilted and mushy after you freeze it and thaw it out? Does anyone know?

Posted - Nov 02 2009 : 1:18:38 PM I think you are supposed to be able to grow lettuce in boxes you can make out of old windows, in the winter, but not sure-You know Martha Stewart! hahaha

Posted - Nov 01 2009 : 5:37:49 PM I sure wish you could...lettuce is one of the things I hate going without in winter time. I love to eat as locally as possible..but short of what I can grow inside I do end up buying lettuce from the store (likely Calif lettuce) in winter.
