Posted - Oct 09 2009 : 12:52:49 PM I am going camping next week and was trying to pack light that includes food so I was wondering if I crack my eggs and put them in a container how long will they last we plan to leave on the 15th and come back on the 18th so they would only need to stay good for tops 2 days. Do you think they would stay good that long or should I just pack them and go? Thanks for the help, Blessings,Karen

Posted - Oct 09 2009 : 2:09:48 PM Tupperware used to sell a rolling pin that you could fill with iced water...my Mom always would fill it with cracked eggs instead when we went camping. It worked really well and she could just pour them out to fry or scramble and it fit in the cooler. They would easily last 3-4 days. Have fun!!!

Posted - Oct 09 2009 : 2:04:28 PM I would just take them in the carton if you can and stick them in the cooler. If you can keep them cool somewhere you should be fine.

Posted - Oct 09 2009 : 1:07:23 PM Oh yes Alee we are taking a cooler but there are 10 of us going and so I knew I would need plenty of room, because most are growing boys who eat and eat! hehe

Posted - Oct 09 2009 : 1:03:12 PM It depends on how cold is it going to be? Do you have room for a super small collapsable cooler? I think you can freeze eggs so you could always have one set that is not frozen and one set that is and put them in those little coolers and they should keep each other cold.
