I am looking for a recipe called Apple Grunt. I know that it is in an earlier Gooseberry Patch cookbook. I no longer have it, but I love this recipe. If anyone has the recipe could you please share it with me. It is so yummy!

I smiled when i read this post. I think maybe it was Bon
Appetit magazine that years ago published an article called "Grunts, Slumps and Dowdys" It was a rundown of all those great New England desserts that at first sound suspicious to ears that aren't used to the terms. I will see if I can dig out a recipe for you...
