Posted - Sep 22 2009 : 12:29:26 PM The request for a cinnamon applesauce recipe..... reminded me of our family favorite jello salad using both cinnamon red hots and applesuce.
1 pkg. red Jello (strawberry or cherry.) 1/2 cup red hots 1 cup hot water 1 cup cold water 1 cup applesauce Boil the red hots in the hot water until melted. Add to Jello. Stir until dissolved. Add cold water and applesauce. Chill until firm. Enjoy!

Posted - Sep 24 2009 : 12:50:16 PM ok went to do the shopping and can't find redhots in the grocery store, apparently they are out of season, they said they only really carry them at Valentines Day. I really want to make this, it sounds great, any suggestions where I might get this important ingredient?

Posted - Sep 23 2009 : 3:34:18 PM Cheryl this has been a long standing fall favorite since I was a kid and my two sons also have enjoyed it. Now that they are in their mid twenties they still make this recipe for themselves in their own homes. It is always a great surprize for someone who has never eaten it. Thanks for sharing
