I want to go pick peaches with my children tomorrow and make jam but, don't have a recipe and haven't really canned much except some tomatoes and applesauce(the last time we did applesauce it didn't work...the cans sealed fine but, later had mold inside.Ewwwww!)
Can anyone help me with an easy recipe I can use with my kids? thanks!

I use the Ball Low/No Sugar Pectin and follow the recipes included in the box. We've been very happy with all the jam I've made using those recipes.

I have a super easy recipe for peach jam on my blog. It doesn't use pectin and you can freeze it so it is very super simple! Have fun with those peaches!!

I made peach jam following MaryJanes recipe for Raspberry Jam

4 cups peaches
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. chillover powder

Put cut up peaches and sugar in large saucepan. Bring to boil--I try to mash up the peaches.
Boil one minute
Add chillover powder and boil for exactly 3 minutes--stirring continually/

Pour into prepared jars.

It's so easy.

I made Raspberry, Tay Berry and Blackberry jam using the very same recipe
I did put the berry jams through my Foley mill to get rid of the seeds.

Have you looked at the one inside of the pectin box? It is super easy and I think it's great. Also, you might think of making freezer jam, that would be easy to make with the kids.
