Posted - Jul 28 2009 : 11:17:18 AM Well ladies I did dry a can in the food dehydrator and they came out looking like little peices of orange cellophane. At first we didn't like the taste cuz they were a little tart but I do think I'll try it again just to give my fruit snacks a little color. My family did like them the more we nibbled, and I think it will be a fun taste surprise.![](icons/icon_smile_blush.gif)

Posted - Jul 29 2009 : 5:07:41 PM Claudia, I love my dehydrator, I dry almost everything and rarely have a problem. I love the electric one, years ago I dried everything on screens outside. This year my Christmas gifts will be dried onions and a herb blend, plus an assortment of fruits.

Posted - Jul 29 2009 : 08:27:21 AM I have purchased dried mandarin oranges before and I LOVED them! They were wonderful. But I think they started out with fresh oranges instead of canned ones. I never even thought of drying canned fruit. What a great idea!
