We have a local ice cream shop here in the Cincy area, who's ice cream is world famous now (thanks to Oprah...still don't know how I feel about sharing) called Graeters. All of their ice cream is heavenly, but they are best known for their Black Raspberry Chip ice cream. Black Raspberry ice cream with HUGE chunks of bittersweet chocolate dispersed throughout--some chunks are like mini candy bars.

Anyway, we've had such a great crop of blackberries this year, we're using them all different ways so Justin decided to make us a blackberry chocolate milkshake last night, and it was AMAZING!!!

We first ran the blackberries through the food mill to rid of seeds, then added vanilla ice cream, milk, and Ghiradelli chocolate syrup. OH MY!!!! Blend away. It was so amazingly good---could give Graeter's a run for their money!!! If you've got any extra berries on hand, it might be worth a shot.

They also make another favorite, but only in the summer, Strawberry Chip, with hunks of real strawberry and the same chunks of bittersweet chocolate. I bet that would make a good shake too!

Hey June!!! Where is Greenwich? I know Graeter's has spread as far north as Columbus, so you might just know it :)

You know, it might not be a bad idea for breakfast....the chocolate was such a nice addition---and who says you can't have chocolate for breakfast sometimes????
