Hi Everyone - me again.......I spooned off my hooch each day and tried to make my first loaf today.....I started Mother on Sunday.......the dough didn't rise. Not sure what went wrong here....but I am not giving up. Any thoughts?

Hi michelle! This is a common problem in the first few weeks of the starter. Some starters seem to take a little longer to mature before they produce a good rise. Please read in the topic www.breadthemaryjaneway.com. This topic was covered along with myriad of information that will be helpful to you. Also if you post questions over there they are more likely to be seen by girls who have subscribed to the topic! And they are a helpful bunch! We are so gladyou have joined us!
