Hey, neighboring farmgirls, have you ever heard of Azure Standard (www.azurestandard.com)? They're an Oregon-based company specializing in natural, organic, earth-friendly food - often in bulk quantities at discounted prices. You can order online, and they'll ship non-refrig items directly by UPS. But they also have a bulk delivery truck route which they're expanding, and it may be coming our way!

Here's the info I received in an email from Azure yesterday. If you're interested, contact Diane Pennington (penningtonfam@yahoo.com or 1-417-296-0052), and let her know. The more of us, the better!

Hello!

My name is Diane Pennington. On behalf of Azure Standard I am contacting all parties who have previously received UPS shipments or requested catalog information to advise you that we are hoping to begin a truck delivery route to your area in the Fall of 2009. Our goal is to provide once a month delivery of items within seven days of the truck leaving the Moro, Oregon warehouse. You will be able to order from the entire catalog ~~ heavy goods such as wheat, frozen and refrigerated items, as well as fresh produce!

The tentative route for your area will be Highway 71 South from Nevada to Joplin/Neosho, Missouri to Arkansas/Bentonville/Springdale/Fayetteville/Fort Smith/Mena, DeQueen; Highway 70 North East to Hot Springs/Little Rock; 65 North to Branson/Nixa/Springfield, Missouri; 65 North to 13 North to Bolivar/Humansville/Collins.

The success of this route will of course depend on the response we receive. Adjustments and specific drop points is solely based upon consistent order volume. Please do let us know if you would like to participate as we are looking for drop point coordinators as well as any persons seeking quality organic food or other health care products at competitive prices.

Minimum orders of $800 will be required to establish drop points within three miles of the planned route. A delivery fee of 8% will be added to each invoice subject to fuel surcharges should circumstances warrant.

It would also be helpful if we could share your email address with others in your local area so you could get together and coordinate your orders to establish a drop point. We will not share email addresses without your permission so let us know if this is agreeable to you.

We invite you to visit the Azure website at www.azurestandard.com and request a free catalog and bi-monthly sales flyer.

Please email me at penningtonfam@yahoo.com or call 1-417-296-0052 if you would like additional information and desire to become an active part of this exciting opportunity.

Let us know if you have any suggestions and we look forward to working with you!

Diane Pennington

Hey Jenn.
I order ugh these guys and they are a really great company. They are just across the river from me. We have a drop off here in Prosser. I highly recommend them. Of course I would always check out what MaryJanesFarm has and buy there first ( flour etc)....But for the things we dont have..... they are good! :)
