Posted - Apr 14 2009 : 1:53:48 PM Will let you know how it turns out! This is from scratch, the old fashioned way...no bread machine.
I'm letting it rest right now, hopefully it has doubled and I can mash it down and set a bit longer then bake.
Really looking forward to this!

Posted - Apr 16 2009 : 3:12:42 PM You know some bread recipes are meant to be "brick-like." At least that's what I think. If you liked it - that's all that counts.
Let us know how the next recipe works for you. Some are easier than others. You just might get hooked and then it will be only homemade bread for you. That's how it is with my spoiled family.LOL

Posted - Apr 15 2009 : 06:42:40 AM Welp, it turned out sort of brick-ish but oddly, really good. I blogged about it so if you'll take a look there, I go into great detail about making the bloomin' thing!
An update...so last nite I ate several pieces and really liked it. Wrapped it up and left it on the kitchen table. This morning I got up and found a gnawed on loaf of bread. Apparentally, my mini-doxies clambered up on the chairs and pulled the wrapped loaf off and then went to town, chowing down...
I found another bread recipe on allrecipes that I'm going to try next time. It looks a lot easier and hopefully will turn our better.
At least I gave it the college try, my consolation... hehehe...
Winona :-)
