Has anybody made brownies out of one of MJ's mixes? I want to make them but want to bake them in the oven (not a bakeover) and the directions don't say much about doing it that way. I see at what temp. you bake them and for how long, but is this if you drop them into a pan by spoonfuls or if you spread them out in a baking dish or pan (the way I usually make brownies).

My daughter has been begging me to make them ASAP! Please help!

Here ya go Karin, we make these here at the farm. It sure satisfies that chocolate fix in the afternoon. Don't forget a big glass of milk...I can smell them right now! Yummy! Julie

Directions for Oven Baking

Preheat oven to 375°F. Using an 8x8x2 glass baking dish, use 3 cups mix (4 Pkgs) and 1 cup cold water. Oil and flour the baking dish. The batter will be stiff. You can spread it evenly in the glass-baking dish by suing wet fingertips. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. You can cut into squares while hot or cold. This amount will make 30 yummy brownie squares. (If you want to get really decadent, work some butter into the mix before adding water. You’ll need less water if you do this, so go easy and start out with just ˝ cup water)

For a 9x13 glass pan, use 5 ˝ cups mix and 1 2/3 – 2 cups water. If using butter, use 4 T butter and a little less water.
