I'm interested in making some flavored/herbed olive oil for dipping bread in. Have any of you done this before?? Are you supposed to use fresh herbs...dried herbs...how long is it supposed to set to absorb the flavor...?

Jodi, oil infused with garlic is delicious but Ole Ron is always in too much of a hurry so he just uses a little garlic powder. My son's fav is balsamic vinegar. Mine is course ground black pepper. If you use dried herbs they should probably set for a while before using. That would mean I would have to prepare the oil before I baked the bread or we could not wait.
