I recently purchased some dehydrated bananas for my husband. They are whole bananas, not chips, and not smooshed (is that a word? :)).
I was wondering if anyone had ever tried drying bananas like that and if you could share how.
Thank you ladies!

These are more chewy. They of course are whole but look like you cut it in half horizontally. They are really good and I thought I could try them at home for my honey :) He loves them.

Posted - Mar 05 2009 : 3:32:13 PM I have never seen a whole dried banana.. how would you get it to dry evenly? I have seen whole dried peaches but after they pit them they are kinda flat.. I'm not sure about the bananas are they hard? How would you eat one the banana chips I get are really crunchy.. It would be fun to try them whole for the kids it could be like a lollypop..

Posted - Mar 05 2009 : 2:50:50 PM I have never heard of such a thing but now that you mention it, I guess you could really dehydrate anything with liquid in it...I love banana chips though yum! I've never tried a whole dehydrated banana!
