Posted - Mar 04 2009 : 08:37:54 AM Cheryl what time can you be here?? I love to cook but sometimes I get in a rut and cook the same things over and over. I haven't been very inspired with anything at the market I cannot wait for the fresh garden produce. Right now it is alot of meat and potatoes..

Posted - Mar 04 2009 : 07:46:57 AM Rachel Ray's Chicken Shortcut-a-Tore from her first "30 Minute Meals" cookbook. It's an old standard with a beautiful presentation. I follow the recipe but add 1/2 cup sugar to the sauce.

Posted - Mar 04 2009 : 05:37:59 AM Shepherd's Pie is a staple at our house when company comes. That and a big salad and you are good to go! I don't add veggies to the pie, only meat and onions with a gravy and potatoes, but you could to make it go further. Pasta with a fresh tomato sauce is also good. I just use butter, garlic, parsley flakes, salt, pepper, rushed red pepper and fresh tomatoes. If I have some, I will add cream to the sauce. Makes it very silky and yummy. I toast French or Italian bread under the broiler and drizzle it with a syrup made with balsamic vinegar and sugar and make a salad. Mmmmm, I'm making my tummy rumble. :)
