Hi Girls,!
Does anyone know where I might find a medium sized bread dough starter crock like the one featured in the Artisan Bread article in MJF Magazine?

Thank you for your suggestions . Your suggestions make this process much less daunting! I can't wait to get started.

ps: Did anyone gain several pounds after doing the bread dough thing - yikes!

Actually you want to avoid using a lid for MaryJanes starter. Since it is intended to be a constantly working started that is fed daily it is best just to use a towel to cover it loosly so it can still breath. If you intend to store it in the fridge as an inactive starter you will want a cover. It will need to be brought to room temperature again before you use it. You will then feed it daily and cover it with a loose towel and and off center plate.

A pyrex bowl with a lid is good too.

Erin - MaryJane just uses a ceramic bowl. Any ceramic bowl will do.
