Very excited to notice that plenty of products in the supermarket are now advertising themselves as HFCS free, including Thomas's English Muffins and Langer's juices. Anyone else notice any other products phasing out HFCS?

So glad I'm not the only one reading labels and swearing off HFCS! I have been trying to explain to my hubby why it is so bad for you and that when he picks a few things up at the grocery, he needs to look at the labels. Lately, he's been doing a great job!

Amy, I know that Arnold has cut out HFCS, though it used to have it. Check out the Oroweat. Maybe it changed ingredients.

I am so glad that there are more and more things without this nasty stuff in it. It is amazing how many things had it.

We do have Orowheat - I actually stopped carrying it because almost all of it has HFCS - oh well, maybe we will catch up

Arnold is also Brownberry and Oroweat, Amy. They might have those brands where you are.

Arnolds is not a brand that is available out here in the NW, I'm lucky because I work in the bakery department and I can just buy the fresh wholegrain bread - or make my own, if I'm not feeling lazy - who me?
That is encouraging that bread companies are switching back - there is no need for HFCS in bread whatsoever!!

Amy Grace, I know what you mean about cranberry juice and cost. I found it at Whole Foods, on sale for $4 a bottle. The Langers, after sale and coupon, was $2 a bottle. And I never buy canned pasta sauce (Italian-American food-snob husband, not that I mind), but I've heard it's a particularly bad culprit in the HFCS department.

BTW, I've also found that Arnold breads are no longer using HFCS, and you can find a lot of supermarket generic 100% whole wheat breads that have switched to other sugars such as molasses.

ECK! That nasty stuff is in just about EVERYTHING in the mainstream grocery stores! I'm so glad people are finally standing up and letting the food manufacturers know that we are NOT stupid and we don't want their cheap, GARBAGE substitutes!!!

Awesome about the Langer's - I can find almost everything else HFCS free at the organic store I work at but cranberry juice is just not affordable. I was pleased to note that Costco is carrying tomato products that are HFCS free - something you would think would be a given, but no.....

I have found lots of breads, bagels, juices, and cereals that are without HFCS. Its been really great since my kids are so sensitive to things that are highly sweetened. I even found WHITE bread that doesn't have it. Its great!

Yes, I'd all but sworn off cranberry juice due to HFCS, and now I'm buying Langers again. It worked for trans fats, too.

WOOO HOO! Consumer dollars really do vote! First we got the rBGH out of lots of the brands of milk, and now our dollars are getting the HFCS out! Awesome!
