I was just reading the too mnay cookie posting and it reminded me of a recipe that I lost years ago. It is like a chocolate chip cookie recipe but it uses cherry chips intstead. Does anyone have this recipe I am remembering from maybe 10 yrs ago at least?

Cherry Chip Cookies

2c. sifted flour
1/8- 1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. soft butter
1/2c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. crushed cornflakes
1 1/4c. cherry chips
Sift flour and salt together. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, mix in egg and vanilla.Add flour mixture and mix until smooth. Stir in cherry chips and crushed corn flakes.Roll into 1" balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press down in criss-cross-# pattern with fork dipped in flour if needed and then sprikle lightly with additional granulated sugar. Bake at 350-degrees for 12-15 min. Remove from pan while still warm. Once cooled store in airtight container. M-M- Good! (This recipe has been in my family over 40 years)
The cherry chips are usually found in local stores around the holidays.

Enjoy!
