I just got back from making 10 gallons of apple cider! My friend has an old cider press and every year they go get tons of apples for several people and we make cider. This year I only bought 2 boxes and took about 4 boxes from my own trees here. I have an old Granny Smith and another tree all the old timers think is called Yates. Very crispy and juicy. So I got 10 gallons to put in the freezer.

Has anyone else made their own cider? It's really fun to do.

I just got to thinking how is apple cider vinegar made? Wouldn't it be fermented? I wondered if I could make it myself. So if anyone knows how or can tell me of a web site to check, I'd appreciate the info.

Just thought I'd ask. Thanks, Kris
