That's for sur eon my list to make tomorrow.. I had plans for 2 days now.. but when i was gettin-round-toit today I had to take my poochie to the vet. He had grass seed or wild foxtail inhis ears again.. this time the Vet had to put him under to get it out as it was on his eardrum.. Last time it was not so deep. We do not know what we are going to do with him.. he loves to chase the squirrels and jackrabbits here on the farm.. Silly puppy..* he never comes close to catching them!* anyways this is the 3rd time in 3 months since we moved here that we have had to take him in to the Vet.
Snow will be falling in the near future here so that will solve some of the weed seed problem.. So Gingerbread in a canning jar is on the agenda for tomorrow! REALLY!

That's funny - I inherited a box of my grandma's recipes and one of them is her aunt's gingerbread recipe. It is old enough that there are no cooking instructions so I will have to wing it. Anyhow, I was just thinking that gingerbread sounded mm-mm-good, great minds think alike I guess

I just made gingerbread last week....I got the recipe on Epicurious and it was great! I didn't use the crystallized ginger or the mascarpone cream because it was part of another dessert. I love mascarpone though and I bet that part is good....however it does not need it.

I also added more salt...3/4 teaspoon rather than 1/4 teaspoon.

I made crystal ginger molasses cookies yesterday. They were a big hit with my group at the arboretum today! I brought french vanilla coffee to go along with them. They really hit the spot after edging around 10 big Hawthorne trees!

ooh same here... made my best pumpkin pie ever over the weekend! and it was a recipe that had molasses in it, which i'd never seen. pumkin anything is one of my fave smells... i tried making gingerbread cookies once, but they didn't come out. so yes, if anyone has any great, easy recipes, please share! i make ginger crisp cookies that are really great, but just couldn't get the hang of ginger bread. to bad, cause i have some awesomely cute autumn cookie cutters!

How about carrot cake? I just made one today...in fact I'm just waiting for it to cool so that I can ice it.

Lol, I was thinking about gingerbread too. Not the cookies, but the yummy molasses-y, ginger-y cake. Mmmmmm... wish I could make some today but I'm all out of molasses. Rats!
