Thanks! |

Posted - Nov 16 2005 : 06:09:42 AM hello there everyone!! This "bisquick" mix is so very handy and I use it all the time I call it my basic mix, as it has so many uses.
9 cups flour 1/3 cup baking powder 1 tbsp. salt 2 tsp. cream of tartar 4 tbsp sugar 1 cup nonfat dry milk powder 2 cups shortening (that doesn't require refridgeration)
DIRECTIONS 1. mix all ingredients together 2. cut in shortening with pastry blender or two knives until mixture is crumbly 3. store in covered container at room temperature. 4. when using basix mix, pile lightly into cup and level off.
HOW TO USE MIX BISCUITS- 3 cups of mix tihh 2/3 to 1 cup of water mix until blended and bake at 400F for 10 minutes
YOu certainly don't ahve to just make biscuits wiht this mix, use it just as you would bisquick. ENJOY!!!! Melanie
