Michigan State University has a cool website where you can go and view lots of very old cookbooks online, http://digital.lib.msu.edu/projects/cookbooks/index.html.

They are so neat to browse through and see what kind of recipes were made back then, and the more formal language that was used. There are also many recipes for medicinal cures, even some veterinary recipes.

Just thought I would share in case anyone has extra browsing time on their computers today!

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start; anyone can start from now
and make a brand new end.

If the ways is long
Let your heart be strong
Keep right on 'round the bend
Though you're tired and weary
Still journey on to your happy abode
Where all that you love
And are dreaming of
Will be there at the end of the road.
