Hi ladies! I was wondering if any of you had made the apple charlottes from the newest magazine? I just got mine in the mail today and saw the gorgeous recipes and began to drool over the apple charlottes. I'm in Washington (apple country) surrounded by apple orchards and just happen to have about 50# of apples and pears that need using!
I don't can, as I'm trying to eat a higher percentage of raw foods, but I was wondering if any of you have more apple and pear recipes?

DO you know I have to buy extra MJF magazines to save for my 16 year old daughter? She ALWAYS uses the recipes and patterns and ideas out of the magazines. She uses them so much they look like they have seen serious battle when she's done...I save my copy- all clean and nice, and let hers get used and abused *U* Her stash of magazines are well-loved.

Oh...that's a great idea! Her own magazine coming in the mail would delight her. Yes- I do love having her home all day. She is an excellent student, writer, poet, and she sews, bakes, cooks, etc. She is by no means perfect- she is a teen! But she's great and I love being home with my kids all day. We have so many adventures and they are so smart! At that age I couldn't do most of the things they do, didn't know most of what they knew, and hadn't been to nearly the many places they have...at least I'm experiencing all of that now *U* (with them!)
