Posted - Sep 04 2008 : 12:59:16 PM We have gotten some free food lately, and some of it has been cans of mixed vegetables. This isn't something I normally buy. It has peas, corn, carrots, lima beans, and potatoes in it.
What would you make with this? Serve with it?

Posted - Sep 04 2008 : 6:02:47 PM I like eggs in my top ramen, with veggies.
I crack them in a bowl, and use a fork to scramble them up a bit. Then after the noodles and every thing has boiled for the Ramen, poor the eggs in while it's boiling, and stir, it will cook pretty quickly. Then I add some soy sauce, and teriaki sauce, some times lemon grass, and some chopped green onion, and water chestnuts.

Posted - Sep 04 2008 : 5:16:01 PM Thanks ladies!
The box also had some Top Ramen in it...which I normally don't buy...but eat what you have on hand, right? So I put a can in there with the Ramen. Perhaps I can make some soup with some of the chicken I have in the fridge.

Posted - Sep 04 2008 : 1:24:25 PM That reminds me of the industrial size cans of food they served in the Navy. Usually, it was just heated through and served with a little butter and salt. Could you make a pot pie with it, adding turkey?
