My tomatos smell really good. I don't use fertlizer or pesticides. My father in law uses Miracle Gro and his tomatos smell like chemicals. I'm sure I only notice the BAD smell after growing my own with just water and sun. Do any of you notice a difference in smell, look or feel and taste of your naturally grown produce?

Man, despite his artistic pretensions, his sophistication, and his many accomplishments, owes his existence to a six inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.

My tomatoes smell really good, but I give them a dose of compost and sterilized steer manure in the bottom of the hole before I plant them really deep. The mixture is stirred around with some water and then the plants are stuck in. With the weird weather we had this year and the cold at the wrong time they are not doing as well as they could. However, I'm getting lots of tomatoes, especially the Sweet 100's.

I'm eating an organic apple from my friends back yard. It taste's like "apple hill" in California. YUMMY!! and NO wax, just rubb off the apple, cut out the wormies (no pesticides!) and dig in. It tastes like I remember apples tasting when I was a little girl.

Taste is what I always notice - sweeter and darker color. The ones from the store are always light in color and kinda watery in taste.

I agree- you can walkout into my garden and smell the plants, and the taste is amazing! Organic is Great!

I don't think I have ever had two tomatoes side by side to compare like that. What an interesting observation!
