I need help! How do you make you baby spare ribs. I haven't bought them in years because I am no good a fixing them. DH doesn't like bbq flavor. We both tend to over cook on the grill. So any ideas on how to do them? Thanks

I simmer them to remove as much of the fat as possible, then drain them, dust with flour and make a sweet & sour sauce... 1/2cup vinegar, 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup ketchup and 3/4 cup brown sugar and garlic to taste. This makes a nice sauce for over rice too.
Another thing I do sometimes is after simmering them, marinate them in a teriyaki sauce and then bake them.

I have done them in the crock pot on high for a couple hours...then turned down to low until they are very tender....I season with SuzyQ a Santa Maria style seasoning..basically garlic salt pepper and parsley...bbq sauce on the side for those who like it. I have one child not crazy about bbq flavor either.

I cook my ribs in water on low, slow heat all day. Like 200 till they smell good and I'm starving. Then I take them out of the water, put them in another pan with BBQ sauce and cook for another hour at the same temp. Course if he doesn't like the BBQ flavor... I don't know what to say.. Just a herb rub like posted above HTH

I marinate mine with a dry rub and cook them on the grill. I wrap them with foil and preheat the grill. When the grill is hot I place the ribs on one side of the grill and turn the heat off on that side of the grill. ( if you use charcoal you can push all the coals to one side). They will cook pretty slow this way. At least an hour or two depending onthe size and amount of meat.
