Posted - Jul 17 2008 : 10:21:18 AM I love stuffed grape leaves, but do not have grapes and cannot find the leaves in the markets. Has anyone used wild grape leaves? We have plenty of those on the farm, but never any grapes. |

Posted - Jul 20 2008 : 7:00:04 PM My method is similar but I tie the rolls of 12-15 blanched leaves with string and cover them with a boiling mixture of equal parts of vinegar and water after adding a couple of lemon wedges to the jars. Process for 15 minutes in a boiling water bath. It's important to use the new bright green leaves.

Posted - Jul 18 2008 : 8:02:22 PM Samantha - thank you so much. I really appreciate this site information. I really have no idea what to do with them other than stuffed grape leaves, but that is a very tasty dish. If you have other suggestions, please let me know. I would love to try new uses. |
