I love stuffed grape leaves, but do not have grapes and cannot find the leaves in the markets. Has anyone used wild grape leaves? We have plenty of those on the farm, but never any grapes.

My method is similar but I tie the rolls of 12-15 blanched leaves with string and cover them with a boiling mixture of equal parts of vinegar and water after adding a couple of lemon wedges to the jars. Process for 15 minutes in a boiling water bath. It's important to use the new bright green leaves.

Samantha - thank you so much. I really appreciate this site information. I really have no idea what to do with them other than stuffed grape leaves, but that is a very tasty dish. If you have other suggestions, please let me know. I would love to try new uses.

We're Armenian/Greek, so our family uses a bunch of the leaves in cooking! Here is the link to the recipe that we used a while back to preserve them!

Thank you - I thought they would probably be okey to use, but wondered if anyone had. Do you have any idea on how to can them?

Wild grape leaves should be fine. You can even can them so you have a supply for winter.
