I know, not the most farmgirl topic, but as I am living in a hotel for a few months and don't have a stove, I'm trying to find ways to cook somewhat healthy in, yes, a microwave. If anyone has any recipes or ideas for decent meals I'd love to hear your thoughts. I have a fridge, but no freezer, sigh.

thanks,

Laurie, I have a couple of "on-line" cookbooks with recipes that are for Tupperware Microwave cookware, but I think you could easily convert them to any cookware.

I'm very new here so I am still finding my way around. But I'll try to eamil them to you.

Chris

Laurie-

There are some nice microwave safe dishes out there that are sturdy and light weight. I bet you can find some that are luggage friendly!

I am getting much better at microwave cooking now. The CD was great Jodi. Still don't make too much variety, but I feel I can make a few things, mostly rice, since I love that so much. end of next week I go back to Denver and the hotels that have stoves! This has been an experience, but it's good to know I can eat decent when work has me all over the place. The one thing I wish I had invested in was a microwave proof dish. I have the glad plastic ware. It travels easy in the luggage.

My mom has a cookbook from the 60's or 70's all about microwave cooking. Perhaps you could find one at a used bookstore?
