Last weekend we smoked 88# of fresh king salmon and Sophie watched on. Drooling all day long. We left the salmon on the counter in the kitchen to settle before vacuum packing.

Wellllll........ the wind kicked up in the middle of the night and Sophie found her way in to the kitchen for a little midnight snack. The only picture missing from this story is her standing on the counter with the salmon hanging off her lip.

As a puppy she ate a dozen crispy creme donuts, a box of swiss miss chocolate mix and a crock of sourdough starter.

Oh, I can taste that salmon from here (well, I wish I could!). Silly dog. I'm glad she didn't get all of it. But can you blame her. The smell of smoked salmon would be overpowering for anybody!

Agreed! If she wasn't so darn cute, she'd be in big trouble!!! That salmon sure looks wonderful, Jo..
