I have been surfing looking for new ways to preserve and prepare what ever I am currently doing. Anything I have found on freezing has the added tip of sucking the air out of a ziploc baggy with a straw and shutting it REAL fast. Blech!

I have an easier way for this.

Fill an ice cream bucket with water. Put you veg or what ever in the bag. Put the bag in the water. The water will sqeeze the air out of the bag and you don't have to pull the straw, sqeeze the zipper thing-y and suck all at the same time. The top out the bag is out of the water so you can seal it nice and easy.

I used this method last year for all of my vegetable and I didn't have a single case of freezer burn.

Aimee that sounds great. I'll try that the next time with the okra I freeze. Thanks.
