With it being summer and hot ; was wondering what you alls favorite fruit salad recipe was
Need some ideas
My problem is,
I can't have pineapple or oranges
cause of the refulxe disease thingy,
Love peaches
Sometimes
I get the peach jello, peaches and some cool whip
do the jello like it says on the box
but, just before it jells all the way
put in peach yogurt and peaches,
and small carton of low calorie whipped cool whip
oh,
you can use the unsweetned jello too
fresh peaches
or the light syrup kind in the can
'fresh peaches are yummy,
I came up with the recipe years ago.
Oh,
you can chopp up some peacans too those are good in this recipe

Yummy ,
all of those sound good and I think I might be able to eat most of them,
I am going to do some things with rice too
I love rice pudding
but,
couldn't make it right
everytime I made some with eggs,
the eggs cooked like scrambled eggs in it, yuck
I found a recipe that uses the vannilla pudding
I use the kind of rice that you have to cook awhile; it taste better in puddings
so, I am going to try that to ; but use the sugar free kind.
Thanks. Pinkroses

I have a great recipe for fruit salad! Everyone loves it. You cut up what ever fresh or canned fruit you like then take a box of vanilla cooked pudding and cook it with apple juice and follow directions on the box. Cool the pudding mix. It makes a kind of yellowish, clear glaze. When it is cool toss your fruit in it. You never see the glaze, it just gives it a beautiful shine and a touch of sweetness.

I like to get any fruit gramma bought. I have gramma cut it up. Get a vanilla pudding cup and smear it around. Put it in the fridge. Its really good.

This is the recipe I submitted to the sunday school cookbook at the age of 5. I still do this. I use a can of tropical fruit, grapes and strawberries. I stir in 1 vanilla pudding cup.

Sheila,
I make a great apple salad you can add as many of these ingredients you like:
Chopped red and yellow apples, grapes sliced in half, chopped walnuts, raisins, sliced banana a little lemon juice and a sprinkle of brown sugar. Toss together and enjoy or refrigerate for later. My family loves this, I know you can't eat pineapple, but that is good in it too.

Sheila, can you have kiwi, grapes, strawberries and blueberries? I make a fruit salad that you mix 1/3 cup of fresh lime juice, 1/3 cup of honey, and 1/3 and a 1/3 cup of chopped fresh mint. I usually double it up because I use more fruit than it calls for for family gatherings. It always gets rave reviews and I never have leftovers ;)
